Billing model
XenonCloud uses a straightforward usage-based billing model:
- Instances are billed per second with a monthly cap based on the selected plan.
- Block storage is billed per GB per month.
- Outgoing bandwidth is billed by TB once included quotas are exceeded.
- Inbound bandwidth is free.
Payment methods
Add and manage payment methods under Billing > Payment methods:
- Credit and debit cards.
- Optional invoicing for enterprise accounts.
- Multiple payment methods with a primary fallback.
Invoices and export
All invoices can be downloaded as PDF for accounting and as CSV for analysis:
- Go to Billing > Invoices.
- Select a month to view the invoice.
- Download line-item details for cost attribution.
Spending alerts and limits
Use alerts to detect unexpected spend early:
- Open Billing > Alerts.
- Create thresholds based on monthly projected cost.
- Configure alert recipients (email or webhook).
Recommendations for production teams
- Group resources by project to keep billing aligned with applications or customers.
- Use tags to identify environment (
env=prod,env=staging). - Review idle resources monthly and clean up unused volumes or snapshots.
